Green Realm Travel’s Terms & Conditions

Green Realm Travel is the trading name of GRT Holdings Ltd.

Currency -

All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars (NZD's) and include New Zealand's goods and service tax (GST) of 12.5%.

Insurance -

Green Realm Travel cannot accept a booking from anyone who has not taken out adequate insurance protection with an insurance company. You should take sufficient insurance cover prior your arrival to cover personal accident, baggage, loss of airfares, medical expenses, etc. Our accident compensation scheme does not cover medical costs.

Accident Compensation -

New Zealand operates a unique, no fault and accident compensation scheme called ACC. If you have the misfortune to be injured in an accident while you are in New Zealand, then you will receive medical and hospital treatment in New Zealand at very little cost. However the, rates of compensation are very low by international standards so we suggest that you take out your own personal accident insurance. It is not possible to obtain compensation through litigation. Accident Compensation does not cover medical costs, unless they are as a result of a motor vehicle accident. ACC laws are subject to change without notice.

Deposit -

Green Realm Travel welcomes full payment or our deposit option of $500.00NZD per person for tours departing more than 46 days from the date of booking.The balance of the payment must be paid no later than 45 days before the tour departure date. Whether you pay the full amount or the deposit you will receive contact from us confirming your booking. We will then remain in contact to offer assistance, help answer any questions and organise your airport pick up times when you land in New Zealand.

Cancellation -

Cancellation by you. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by personal or recorded delivery or registered letter, or by fax or email.

To cover organising and tour co-ordination costs by Green Realm Travel and their agents a $500.00 NZD cancellation fee will apply to tours cancelled outside the 45-day period.

A summary of cancellation charges are:

Loss of deposit....45+ days out from tour departure date
31 - 44 days..........60% of total holiday cost
0 - 30 days............100% of total holiday cost

We would strongly recommend that you take out full insurance which in most cases will cover loss of deposit or cancellation fees.

Cancellation by us. On occasions it may be necessary to alter, amend or cancel travel arrangements you have selected. When this happens you will be offered a choice of alternative arrangements of at least comparable standard if available and if this is not acceptable a full refund of all monies will be paid. Each tour is subject to a minimum of six passengers, should this number not be reached the tour will be cancelled. Passengers will be advised of this no less than four weeks prior to departure. In the event that travel arrangements have to be altered or cancelled for reasons force majeure, i.e. the occasion of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, failure of international or domestic airline, failure of any other major tour component, or adverse weather conditions, all monies paid will be refunded but there will be no compensation payable.

Dispute-The law of this contract is the law of New Zealand and will be applied to contracts and disputes; and shall be resolved within the Court's of New Zealand.

Accuracy -

All the facts pertaining to resorts and hotels in this brochure have carefully been checked. However, facilities and services may be renovated or improved at any time, in low season especially, and facilities may become unavailable e.g. a restaurant closed for refurbishment,a swimming pool may be emptied for cleaning or. It should also be noted that hotel service standards and coaches may well be affected during high season. Whilst this is beyond our control, any major changes to facilities of which we are notified will be advised to you whenever possible prior to travel.

Liability – Loss / Damage: Green Realm Travel shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or consequential upon, directly or indirectly, an abandonment of, delay in, departure or delay during any trip however caused.

Personal Liability: Green Realm Travel will not be liable for the sickness, injury or death to any of our passengers, loss of or damage to any personal effects, whether caused by Green Realm Travel’s negligence or otherwise, and the purchase of this ticket and passenger jointly and severally agree to indemnity Green Realm Travel against liability to any person on whose behalf such travel was booked or such ticket was purchased.

Alterations -

All fares, routes and departure times are subject to alterations without notice. Green Realm Travel reserves the right to substitute other vehicles in place of their own in circumstances beyond their control

Operator Services -

Where the services of another operator are provided for in this ticket it is agreed and understood that Green Realm Travel is acting only as an agent for the passenger to arrange such services and accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any default of that operator.

Children -

Children’s fares are available on application. Please Note: Unfortunately children under 15 are not permitted on these tours.

Room & Meal Requests -

Special room and meal requests will be accepted and passed onto the hotels but cannot be guaranteed.

Optional Tours -

Green Realm Travel do not operate these excursions. As such, no person employed or associated with Green Realm Travel has any connection with the operators of these excursions. Accordingly, Green Realm Travel cannot and does not take any responsibility for any injury, action, loss or damage of any type, arising in any manner from these excursions.

Variation -

Changes due to circumstances beyond our control: We will not be liable to pay any compensation if we are forced to cancel or in any way change part or all of your holiday as a result of unusual or unforeseen circumstances outside our control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even with all due care. These include unavoidable technical problems with transport, changes imposed by rescheduling or cancelling of flights by an airline, the alteration of the airline or aircraft type, war or threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, bad weather, epidemic or terrorist activity.

Green Realm Travel reserves the right to cancel or to vary the content of its tours should the need arise.

Refund-

Please note that no refund shall be made for any unused portion of any itinerary. Any alteration to the holiday, made by a passenger(s), shall be wholly to the expense of that passenger(s).

Unused Services. No refund for unused ground content will be made for any reason. If you make any alteration of any portion of the holiday, such alteration will be at your own expense. Refunds are not available for services provided in the holiday price but not utilised by you.

Seating on Coach -

Seating places change daily. Confusion is eliminated as each passenger knows exactly where he will be sitting. So that we will not show partiality among passengers, exceptions cannot be made.

Right of Refusal -

Green Realm Travel is not a common carrier and reserves the right to refuse to carry any passenger, luggage or goods without giving any reason.
